The Situation.
Wonderkid Studio started as a way to make drawing feel approachable for children who want to create but do not always know where to start. The platform needed to feel playful and safe, while still teaching useful fundamentals.
The Challenge
Drawing tools are easy to build badly. The hard part is the experience around them.
Key problems to solve:
A child-friendly UI that stays clear on smaller screens
Tools that feel forgiving, not fiddly
Guided challenges that do not interrupt creativity
A platform structure that can support membership, progress, and content over time
What I implemented.
Product vision and user journeys Defined the core loop, what success looks like for a child, and where guidance should appear.
Touch-first drawing UI Built a simple set of tools with clear states, predictable behaviour, and minimal friction.
Guided challenges and structure Designed prompts and flows that encourage completion without turning it into homework.
Performance and usability iteration Tested, refined, and improved responsiveness to keep the experience smooth.
The Outcome.
Wonderkid Studio is a calmer way to learn drawing. It gives children structure when they need it and freedom when they are ready, with a platform foundation that can grow.
